Don’t forget to buy your tickets well in advance (details on how to do that are below the list), as most of the concerts sell out well in advance (eg. Lunineers is already sold out!). My picks are:
Just Jinjer on the 7th of Dec, Prime Circle on 4th Jan, Parlotones on 11th Jan, Goldfish on 1st March, Johnny Clegg on the 29th of March and Jeremy Loops on April 5th.
Those are the bands I know, but I see a bunch of bands and performers that I have heard about and this year I will make an effort to support some of these new ones too. Not forgetting our philharmonic orchestra performing on Feb 1st, they do awesome work and they need our support.
The number in parentheses after each item is the price category, see the notes below for the prices. Also notice that this year they are not reserving tickets for purchase at the Kirstenbosch box office, if they are sold out online then there are no tickets available.
I see that Old Mutual is not the sponsor anymore, I wonder what the story with that is?
