The V&A Waterfront asked me to tell my readers about the Winter Experience promotion they are running. Why did they ask me? Well, because they know that I am a big fan of the Waterfront.
Many people seem to see the Waterfront as a place for tourists to go, but I actually spend quite a bit of time there. I also really like that there are tourists there a lot of the time as it creates a holiday vibe. I love walking around seeing people enjoying themselves and speaking all different languages.
I don’t go to the cinema a lot, but with both the Nu Metro and Ster Kinekor Nouveau there, when I do want to watch a movie I do it at the Waterfront. But generally I go there either because I need to do some shopping, or because I want to have a meal. In fact, last year I posted an article about my top 5 restaurants in the Waterfront.
This is where the Winter Experience promotion features because as part of the promotion, a bunch of restaurants are offering great specials. I recently ate at City Grill and Meloncino, both were very enjoyable. I also eat regularly at Sevruga, as I just can’t resist the half price sushi (extended until 8pm now). Don’t tell anyone, but I’m also a huge fan of the fish & chips (with a prawn top-up) at Ocean Basket and a quick breakfast at Mugg & Bean!
