This weekend is Wine On The River in Robertson. This is a great wine festival because it’s not as crazy as the Wacky Wine Weekend and everything happens in one place so you don’t have to move around from estate to estate. I went yesterday to check it out and here are some top reasons to get out there this weekend.
You’re on a river! Nothing beats being next to water, it’s good for the soul.
Tons of delicious goodies you can buy to take home. Including beautiful fresh, local olive oil from producers like Mardouw, Marbrin & Willow Creek.
Bubbly!! (enough said!)
Boat rides and tractor rides.
Delicious food and great wine.
Free tutored wine tastings.
And tons more…
Plus, you can get one of these super funky ‘ice bags’ and walk around looking absolutely fabulous, darling!
The Robertson Wine On The River Festival runs until Sunday. The weather looks perfect so grab your friends and / or loved ones and get out there!
Tickets are only R135 on Saturday and R100 on Sunday. Saturday will be good if you like a busy vibe and Sunday will be better if you prefer a quieter vibe.
Get more details at the Wine On The Rive website.
There is also a shuttle service running into Robertson and surrounding towns (not Cape Town!).
