June is Blood Donor Month in SA, to tie in with World Blood Donor Day which was on the 14th. This year, the campaign “safe blood for saving mothers” was selected to draw attention the great demand for safe and sufficient blood for women who have complications at childbirth and other gynaecological needs.
This June the SA National Blood Service will be hosting various blood drives around the country and donors are encouraged to come help avoid the blood shortage that is often experienced during winter. 3M is donating 70 000 specially designed plasters in support of this drive.
3M and the SANBS challenge you to donate blood this June and win. All you have to do is take a ‘selfie’ of your arm after donating blood showing a specially designed 3M plaster. Use the image to nominate your friends, family and colleagues to also donate blood and be a 3M ‘selfie’ hero via Facebook and Twitter with #GiveBloodSelfie and win weekly hampers.
